Now is the very last probability to get in quick season (50 times or significantly less) summer time crops like some cucumbers, bush beans, and even some squash.  We are just transplanting squash at the Bathroom, but be expecting them to increase like animals in July! Salad greens can be planted, but may perhaps immediately bolt in the heat, specifically if in complete sunshine.

July is time for drinking water and warmth administration.  To stop equally drinking water decline and warmth strain, drinking water deeply initially point in the morning, mulch to reduce evaporation, and reduce opposition for water by pulling weeds early.  If we get another “heat dome” in the forecast, specially fragile crops can profit type a sunshade.

It would seem weird to be considering about fall when summer is just starting up, but these is the way of the gardener, generally imagining a season ahead.  Now is the time to be setting up these seeds for the neat season backyard, like drop crops of beets, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, peas, spinach, swiss chard, and turnips can all be planted now to be loved afterwards.  Remember that most seeds want to stay evenly moist to germinate, which can be challenging in the backyard garden in July, and some seeds may well do greater begun within in a tray in a shady spot and transplanted following germination.
