EASTON, Pa. – A preferred dwelling decor store is increasing in Northampton County.

Abode House Decor, which opened in 2021 at 27 E. Belvidere St. in downtown Nazareth, is planning to open up a 2nd shop in June at 131 N. Third St. in downtown Easton, operator Krista Lichtenberger explained.

Business enterprise has been fantastic at Abode, and Lichtenberger credits her faithful and developing purchaser base for the business’ accomplishment.

The new store will make it possible for for a more substantial selection of merchandise, including a lot more furnishings and lights options, in a “massive, stunning space,” Lichtenberger said.

“We’re also searching to have a regionally built area,” Lichtenberger explained. “We have some local craftsmen that we get the job done with, and we needed to give them far more area and present more of these distinctive products that are made right right here in the Lehigh Valley.”

Lichtenberger, of Bushkill Township, mentioned she is energized to join the downtown Easton business group and pointed out that the forthcoming shop is “tremendous particular” as she grew up in Easton.

“What actually prompted us to come to Easton is that we ended up set up at the Easton Winter Village, and we had a seriously wonderful experience there,” Lichtenberger explained.

Hand-crafted items are sourced from suppliers throughout the region, which include wooden wall decor from Kentucky and Wisconsin tradesmen and local wreaths from a Bangor artisan.

“We’ve also been offering regular monthly do-it-by yourself evenings, which have been truly common,” Lichtenberger reported. “We do every thing from cupcake decorating to wreath-producing. That’ll continue in Easton.”

Lichtenberger is continue to finalizing the Easton store’s hrs, but she notes that it will continue to be open later on than the Nazareth site on find times to coincide with the city’s vibrant nightlife.

She’s organizing cosmetic updates to the Easton place to make it “cozy and welcoming,” and she’s also considering increasing the company further down the line.

“I have large goals for [Abode],” Lichtenberger claimed. “I would ultimately like to present dwelling services, inside structure and property organization.”

Abode is transferring into the downtown Easton room at present occupied by Twice Chic Boutique, an upscale consignment shop marketing clothes, footwear and add-ons, and it truly is unclear what the upcoming strategies are for that company.
